Machines. Isolated muscles. Climate-controlled gyms. We've engineered the humanity out of exercise.

Time to go back to raw.

The Philosophy

Joaquín Franceschini says it simply: "Creo en el movimiento natural como medicina" - I believe in natural movement as medicine.

Your body wasn't designed for leg press machines. It was built to crawl, climb, sprint, jump, and play. Movement is medicine. The more natural, the better.

What Is Animal Movement?

Moving like creatures do. On the ground. Using your whole body. No equipment, no instructions, just instinct.

The Bear Crawl - Hands and feet, hips low, opposite arm and leg moving together. Builds core, shoulders, coordination.

The Crab Walk - Belly up, hands and feet, moving backward. Opens hips, strengthens triceps, feels ridiculous (that's the point).

The Frog Jump - Deep squat, explode forward, land soft. Raw power, primal energy.

The Ape Reach - Squat low, reach one arm up and across, shift weight side to side. Mobility and strength combined.

The Lizard Crawl - Low to the ground, chest nearly touching, slinking forward. Core destruction in the best way.

Where Jump Rope Fits

Jump rope is primal cardio. No screen, no program, no complicated setup. Just you, a rope, and rhythm.

It's what kids do naturally. Before we told them exercise had to be serious.

The Raw Fitness Workout

Combine animal movement with jump rope for a workout that feels like play:

Warm-up: 2 minutes easy jumping

Circuit (3 rounds):

Cool-down: Stretch on the ground like a cat waking up

Total: 20 minutes. Full body. Zero machines.

Why It Works

Multi-planar movement - Gyms move you forward/back, up/down. Animal movement adds rotation, lateral motion, ground work. Your body craves variety.

Proprioception - Knowing where your body is in space. Animal movement demands constant awareness. You become more athletic, not just stronger.

Joint health - Moving through full ranges of motion lubricates joints, builds stability. Better than any "mobility routine."

Mental reset - Hard to worry about emails when you're bear crawling. It's moving meditation.

The Barefoot Question

Animals don't wear shoes. Many practitioners go barefoot for better ground connection. Start on soft surfaces if you try it.

Train Outside

Grass, dirt, sand, parks. Take the rope and your body somewhere without walls. Feel the ground. Breathe real air. This is how humans moved for 200,000 years.

The Raw Mindset

Stop exercising. Start moving.

Stop counting reps. Start playing.

Stop optimizing. Start feeling.

Your body knows what to do. Trust it.

Coach Joaquín's raw truth: "The best gym is the ground beneath your feet. The best equipment is your own body. Everything else is optional."
